Solutions for all levels are
built-in to the program. Select the Levels Menu, then the
Show Solution option. Note that viewing the solution will add
5 to your score.
Congratulations! The par score is
just that, par. It is calculated by the tool that created the
level. It is not guaranteed to be the minimum number of moves
to solve the level. However, if you've found a solution with
a significant number of fewer moves, we would like to hear
about it. Significant would be 10-15 moves, or 25% fewer.
Vexed should run on all Palm OS devices
with OS 2.0 or greater. Please email us if you have a device
which won't run Vexed.
That's known issue. Unfortunately, Sony
devices need slightly different code to handle hi-res modes
than all the other PalmOS devices, and we were unable to add
this prior the release. Please install low-res version
instead.
The installer detects you use hi-res device and
installs proper binary, however as described above, Vexed
does not handle Sony's hi-res yet. You have to replace
installed Vexed with low-res version.
The best way
would be to download install version of Vexed from this site
(or SF), but you can also beam Vexed from your Palm directly.
Please remember you need to beam at least one levelpack with
Vexed, as starting from version 2.1, no single levelpack is
no longer merged with the game itself.
Vexed comes in two
builds - hires for all devices capable of handling colorful,
320x320 graphics. If your device does not handle 320x320
mode, you shall use low-res build which works on any PalmOs
device with colour or monochrome display.
